I am based in Telford Shropshire, I set up "AwingAway" in early 2009 following a major change in direction and a passion for everything Goldwing. I have over 30 years' experience of riding, servicing and restoring Goldwing's and have owned more than one or two of every model, As of now I still own a 1976 GL1000 and a 1979 GL1100. In all the years of motorcycling, my wife and i have covered thousands of miles in Europe as well as here in the UK and Ireland. I have a long career in engineering starting with jet engines in the RAF, I was an owner driver of HGV’s, spent many years in the vehicle recovery industry including many years as a trained motor mechanic. I am a member of the IAM for motorcycles, cars, PSV’s and HGV's. I have also been a member of the GWOCGB (on and off) since the early 80’s and have attended many wingdings and Treffens in the UK as well as in Europe and Ireland, I was for my sins a co-founder of Shropshire Wings back in the day. I have now moved to a new workshop still in Telford but with a lot more space. Following a training course in the USA I am now an authorised CSC Trike dealer & converter.
