Accident Insurance Repairs

Insurance repairs can be carried out at your request with your motorcycle insurance provider.

Should an accident occur and you require an estimate on repairs subject to an insurance claim, get in touch with AwingAway.

We can carry out insurance repairs on you Goldwing.


Insurance claims can be difficult so it’s important you follow the correct procedures after an accident. If you have a comprehensive motorbike insurance policy then get in touch with your insurer and ask them for their advice. At this point you can specify your preferred Goldwing repairer.


you might be asked to arrange an estimate for the repairs*. This must then be approved by the insurer before any work can be carried out.


When your insurance company has agreed the estimate, they will send confirmation for the repairs to go ahead. Please bear in mind that you will have to pay the first part of the claim if you have an excess on your policy.


* 9 times out of 10 an estimate will need an onsite inspection carried out by myself so that a comprehensive estimate can be sent to your insurer for final approval. At all times, I will keep you informed of my findings to ensure that correct action is taken to look after your Goldwing.

Front R/H Damage GL1800 2012 . Right side damage - Needed new R/H fairing Shell, R/H Headlight, Complete R/H Mirror,  Internally new fairing support brackets and fairing stays, New R/H Pannier lid, Front Screen garnish, New meter panel. Key surround.

Front L/H Damage GL1800 2001 CSC Trike . Left side damage - Needed new L/H fairing, Crash bar, Complete L/H Mirror,  Internally new fairing support brackets and fairing stays, New belly pan, Front Screen garnish, New meter panel. Key surround.

Rear End Impact GL1800 2002 . Right side damage and Rear damage - Needed new R/H fairing, Crash bar, Complete R/H Mirror, Rear center panel. New tow bar and electrics. Rear arm rests. Internally needed two new fairing support brackets and fairing stays. New running boards. New screen. Rear Crash bar.

Rolled GL1800 2002 EML Trike. Right side damage - Needed new fairing, Crash bar, Instrument surround, Complete R/H Mirror, Rear body shell removed and repaired then re sprayed and new graphics. Replace radio surround. Internally needed two new fairing support brackets and fairing stays. A few chrome parts and speaker covers.
